Lift Operators should enjoy working with the public. Lift operators are responsible for doing start up safety checks, operating the ski lift and ensuring the safety of the skiers and public, and other duties as required. You must be willing to work outdoors and dress appropriately. You may also need to operate a snowmobile and show competency in this regard. Shifts include a mix of day and evening shifts Thursday to Sunday with occasional opportunities outside those days (Family day, other weekdays for school reschedules).
Kitchen Staff
Kitchen staff must enjoy working with the public and should be prepared for a fast paced environment. Knowledge of food safety and basic food prep is an asset. Previous money handling and cash register experience is preferred. You may need to perform other duties as required. Shifts include a mix of day and evening shifts Thursday to Sunday with occasional opportunities outside those days (Family day, other weekdays for school reschedules).
Groomer Operator
Groomer operator is responsible for (but not limited to) preparing the hill so it is safe and enjoyable for the public before the hill opens each morning. Operator must have good mechanical skills, have experience operating heavy equipment, and able to perform physical or manual duties. You must be prepared to work outside and dress appropriately. Shifts would be early morning Thursday – Sunday with the occasional additional morning.
Snow makers must be prepared to be outside in all weather conditions and be dressed appropriately. You are responsible for (but not limited to) starting up or shutting down snow-making equipment, placing snow guns and hoses on the hill, maintaining snow gun operation efficiency, operating high voltage equipment and high pressure water systems using appropriate safety precautions. Candidates should have some basic knowledge of machinery and experience in running a snowmobile. Shifts would be day, evening, or night shifts for the duration of snow-making.
Rental Shop
Rental shop technicians should enjoy working with the public, and be prepared for a fast paced environment. The ability to ski or snowboard would be an asset. Rental technicians are responsible for the proper fitting of ski/snowboard boots and setting bindings and other duties as required. A certification course must be attended and is provided by Valley Ski Hill. Shifts include a mix of day and evening shifts Thursday to Sunday with occasional opportunities outside those days (Family day, other weekdays for school reschedules).
